Harold and the Purple Crayon

This term in our Floor Explorers Parent and Toddler Movement Class we are going to be starting a new theme.

Come and join us as we read, move and get creative with Crocketts Johnsons Story Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Harold and the Purple Crayon

One evening Harold decides to go for a walk in the moonlight. Taking his purple crayon with him, he manages to create and solve all of the adventures he encounters on the way. He travels through up mountains, across the sea and past dragons before finally arriving home and going to bed, safe and sound. Full of unexpected twists and surprises, Harold and his crayon show just how far your imagination can take you.

We will be using our imagination to explore each section of the story and creating our own adventures with our own purple crayon. This will be a great introduction to the idea of possibilities and problem solving for young children.

Our sessions encourage children to develop and use their own ideas, listen to others and think creatively. We love seeing adults and children respond to new ideas, create, move and play together. Our classes are also a great place to meet other parents!

Classes are suitable for any child who is walking but younger child are welcome to come and engage at their level and ability.

Classes £4.50 up to 2 children and £2.50 for an additional child. (free trial class available)

Fees are paid on a termly basis (6 terms per year)

We hope everyone is well and managing to cope and adapt to the very strange situation we are all in. Our understanding and sympathy go out to all of those that are now trying to juggle working from home, supervise and home school their children on top of trying to keep everyone safe and secure and entertained.

We are working together to upload resources to our Website and Facebook page so that you can, practice, dance and move at home over the coming weeks. All resources will be stored here for future reference. Please click on the links to view resources.
