Out & About Together

If you are a homecshooling family come and get involved in our latest project. We are running a Family Creative Project  for homeschooling families called Out & About Together. The project will run for an initial 6 weeks with a view to continuing if there is enough interest.

To get us started we will be going on a story making quest called:

The Golden Orange Tree!

Our adventurers will follow the sun to seek their fortune and bring back the mythical golden oranges from a tree over the mountains and far away.

Together we will create an adventure quest that we will bring to life through, movement, art, drama and music. There will be the option of performing the story to family and friends if there is enough interest. We will be planning the sessions around children ages 4 – 10 years, younger children will be able to participate with parent support and older children will be invited to engage at their level in whatever way works for them.

Where: Biddestone Village Hall
When: Tuesday Mornings 10 – 12pm
Dates: 6 weeks – Tuesday February 2nd – Tuesday March 10th

The hall will be open from 9:30 – 12:30 so famlies can come and stay to play or have lunch together after the session

Cost: £90 per family for 6 weeks
(this works out at £15 per family per week).
This includes up to 3 children from the same family.
Additional children can be added £1 extra per week.
Spaces will be limited to provide the best experience for everyone.

Biddestone Village Hall hall has ample parking and there is a childrens play area and field that will be available for children to play in before and after the session. Here is a link to the hall for more information.

Parents are expected to stay and participate with their children during the session. This helps to building a sense of community, provides great support for our creative endeavors and helps to keeps the cost down. The kitchen will be available during the session to make hot drinks for adults (squash for children) and we will ask families to take turns on a rota to provide a snack for the group during the morning.

The project will be led by Rachel Sinclair, who has 20 years plus experience working with homeschooling families and running similar projects. Rachel also homeschooled her own 2 children, one of whom had special needs, she understands all stages of the journey and the unique journey taken by a homeschool parent navigating the educational journey.
